There are surprising benefits of feeding organ meat to your dogs. I started feeding my cultured spitz "SPOT' as a remedy to slow growth and reduced appetite. There are several kinds of organ meats that are able to consume by the dog. It is important to note if the meat is served for your pet, then the best is to serve it after cooking. This is better to avoid any bacteria or infections that sometimes contain in raw meat. It is also important to note that there are many types of organ meats, such as liver, kidney, brain, or even heart. Each organ might need a different way to cook to result in delicious food for your dog.

List Your Ingredients


  • 100 gms fresh chicken liver

  • 100 gms fresh gizzard

  • 100 gms fresh chicken heart

  • 3 cups of water

  • 1 cup cooked white rice

  • pressure cooker


Directions

  • Wash the freshly collected chicken liver, gizzard, and heart thoroughly under a running water source

  • Put them in a pressure cooker

  • Add 3 cups of water and 4 curry leaves to it and close the lid of the cooker

  • Pressure cook the content on a medium flame

  • Remove the pressure cooker after 3 whistles, and our stew is ready to serve

  • Mix the stew with the cooked organs with 1 cup of cooked white rice

  • Let it cool and serve

Pro Tips

  1. Preserve the stew under 8C in a refrigerator for up to 7 days

  2. You may also separate the broth from the solid meat and preserve it separately

  3. I separate the broth and use the meat as a topper for kibble or other homemade recipes
